The Road America weekend delivered exactly what this championship fight needed: points, progress, and no major damage in a race full of chaos.
Practice sessions went mostly as expected, though we worked hard to get both cars into the right performance window. Neither car was perfect out of the gate, but we stayed focused and kept adjusting.

QUALIFYING: SOLID POSITIONING
Qualifying brought us a good setup:
The 46 car, with Paul behind the wheel, secured P4
The 64 car landed in P20, but we were confident both would move forward in the race
THE RACE: YELLOWS, PENALTIES, AND BRONZE VICTORY
The race started clean but quickly turned unpredictable. It was a yellow flag-heavy event—more crashes and cautions than anticipated.
46 Car Recap: Recovery Drive After a Setback
Early in the race, the 46 was penalized for getting out of line before the start-finish line. That mistake pushed the car back early and forced a hard reset. Despite that, the team stayed composed. Matt took over after the driver change and drove well under pressure, fighting back to a P8 finish.
More importantly, the cars that placed ahead of us were not the ones leading the GS Championship. Meanwhile, the points leader had a tough race, so the 46 gained valuable ground and now sits P9 in the Championship.
64 Car Recap: Bronze Cup Win and a Big Points Swing
The 64 held its ground at the start and managed to avoid trouble during the early yellow flag periods. I drove a clean stint and handed the car to Hugh in a strong position. From there, Hugh continued to push, taking advantage of pit cycles and traffic.
The result: P11 overall and first place in the Bronze Cup. And it gets better. The car that was leading the Bronze Championship coming into the weekend had a rough day. With our win, the 64 now holds a 40-point lead in the Bronze standings.
STRONG FINISHES, NO DAMAGE
Given the number of crashes, cautions, and unpredictable moments throughout the race, we’re fortunate that both cars made it through clean and competitive. No damage, no major issues. Just solid racecraft and good points.
WHERE THINGS STAND
We’ll take that kind of day, especially with the way things unfolded on track.
ON TO THE NEXT
This weekend was a reminder that anything can happen. You stay in it, drive smart, avoid the chaos, and capitalize when the opportunity comes. Both cars delivered. Now we shift our focus to what’s next.
